Set amongst Florida’s unique landscape, wildlife and warm climate, this 18-hole championship course is known for playing conditions, speedy greens, and an exciting layout. Atlantic Beach Country Club is unique, and challenging in equal measures. 

The golf course at Atlantic Beach is rich in history, having hosted the memorable 1966 Greater Jacksonville Open, where the great Jack Nicklaus recorded the first-ever albatross in tournament competition, scoring a double eagle on the par 5 18th. 

Five sets of tee boxes mean that you can dictate the length you wish to play. Atlantic Beach is the perfect example of a risk-reward golf course. 

Featured Hole: No. 18 (537 yards, par 5)

To not select the par 5 18th would seem unjustifiable, given its association with the legendary Nicklaus, and that memorable shot back in 1966. Standing on the tee, this hole is deceptively challenging. Don’t be fooled into thinking this is a straightforward golf hole. It may be long and straight, but water runs down the left of the fairway from tee to green, so anything hit left will almost certainly end up in the drink, or out of bounds. 

A tree lined fairway may look pretty, but the relatively narrow fairway means if you are not straight, you will end up in trouble. Over 60 years ago, The Golden Bear proved you can make this green in two. See if you can emulate his iconic shot from 1966, in PGA TOUR 2K23.
