TPC DEERE RUN

Est. Read Time55 seconds

Location: Silvis, Illinois

Designed By: D.A. Welbring

Total Yardage: 7,066 Yards

TPC Deere Run is as picturesque as they come, with towering trees lining the fairways and the Rock River running along the property. Formerly known as the Quad Cities Open—it borders Davenport, Rock Island, Moline, and Bettendorf—the now-titled John Deere Classic has been a PGA TOUR fixture since 1971. Course architect and former PGA TOUR professional D.A. Welbring incorporated natural features such as the rolling landscape to bring out the beauty of the course, and he delivered. While the surrounding nature is captivating, stay focused: this course will throw plenty of twists and turns your way.

Featured Hole: 16th (Par 3, 158 Yards)

As the crowd draws silent and your attention focuses on the task at hand, take a second to appreciate the artistry of the 16th hole. Approximately 158 yards out, the pin stands tall on a hilltop green, overlooking the Rock River and guarded by a trifecta of bunkers. To the right, a wall of trees protects any wayward shot from sailing too far out of bounds—if anything, they make it easier to lock-on to your target. A useful 9 iron should be more than enough to carry the bunker and drop on the green, but be sure to avoid coming up short, or else your ball could take an unlucky bounce off the shale.
