In PGA TOUR 2K25, you can have up to 6 MyPLAYER builds at any one time, giving you the chance to try out and master all 5 archetypes. When you progress any archetype to 85 OVR, you unlock a unique skill transferrable to your other MyPLAYER builds, regardless of the chosen archetype. Remember, do not delete the 85 OVR MyPLAYER or you lose the skill!

ARCHETYPES AND THEIR UNIQUE SKILLS:

Powerhouse: The Powerhouse’s primary focus is hitting the long ball consistently, even when challenged with a poor lie. However, a Powerhouse must be wary of their ability to keep the ball on target both on and off the green. PGA TOUR pro Tony Finau exemplifies this powerful swing, using his strong tee game to dominate, though it requires careful control to harness effectively.

• Unique Skill: Power Drive (Tee Skill) - A powerful swing with a Driver that adds distance off the Tee in exchange for forgiveness.

Technician: A Technician takes advantage of consistent contact with their swing path. Finding fairways and greens with regularity, the Technician golfer will hardly notice the lack of the long ball. Few embody this approach better than Tiger Woods, whose legendary shot-making and strategic course management showcase the essence of a true Technician.

• Unique Skill: Pick Shot (Bunker Skill) - a difficult bunker shot that produces soft landings and reduced roll outs. Performed with a wedge from the bunker.

Magician: A primary focus for the Magician is a focus on recovery shots paired with a more vertical default swing path and solid power. Getting out of tricky lies shouldn’t be a problem for the Magician. Max Homa showcases this style with his inventive shot-making and remarkable ability to scramble under pressure.

• Unique Skill: Recovery Shot (Recovery Skill) - a shot with plenty of forgiveness to get you back on track. Can be performed with Short Irons and Wedges from the heavy rough and other challenging terrain.

Greenskeeper: What the Greenskeeper lacks off the green is made up for with a putter in hand. They can be relatively consistent playing off the tee and fairway, but the deeper the grass the deeper the struggle. Collin Morikawa is a prime example of this style, known for his precise ball-striking and elite touch on the greens.

• Unique Skill: Green Reader (Green Skill) - The green grid detail is increased by reducing the scale of each grid square.

Sculptor: The Sculptor is an artist with any club in hand, bending creativity and precision into every swing. No one shapes shots through the air quite like the Sculptor, whose versatility and balance set them apart. Much like Justin Thomas, their shot-making artistry makes them dangerous from anywhere on the course, even if putting isn’t their strongest asset.

• Unique Skill: Knockdown Shot (Approach Skill) - A low flying full shot with added spin, allowing it to reduce roll out. This can be performed with Hybrids, Long Irons, and Mid Irons from the Fairway and the Rough.

When you progress your MyPLAYER to 90 OVR, a notification will pop up on your screen reading “Rebirth Unlocked”, rewarding you with 24 Attribute Points that can be used to level up a new MyPLAYER.
