• Challenges Mode
  • Introduces a new gameplay experience where players complete maps of challenges to earn rewards. Anticipate new maps as time goes on.

• Player Cards
  • Player Cards are a new feature that provide users with more ways to personalize their online presence in PGA TOUR 2K25
  • Player Cards will be displayed wherever the user's avatar is presented
  • Player Cards are equipped on a per MyPLAYER basis.
• New Licensed Golf Course
  • New licensed course The Old Course at St Andrews Links will be released with this patch.
• Season 2
  • Clubhouse Pass Season 2
    • Adds 100 new premium tiers and 34 free tiers.
  • Ranked Matchmaking Season 2
    • Season 2 kicks off with the standard soft-reset on ratings and reward track reset.
    • New Season 2 Participation and Promotion rewards for Ranked Matchmaking; including but not limited to all-new unique items, buffed VC rewards and player cards.
    • Updates to the course list adds a collection of top community creations this season.
  • Ranked Tours Season 2
    • Season 2 setup for Ranked Tours.
    • New Season 2 Participation and Promotion rewards for Ranked Tours; including but not limited to all-new unique items, buffed VC rewards and player cards.
    • Daily event course list refresh, including top community-created courses and all official courses.
    • Daily event course setting updates to include variation to wind speed, wind direction and pins.

GAMEPLAY Tuning

• Transition now has a greater impact on distance control for partial shots on Pro, Master, and Legend Difficulties.
• Transition Sweet spot and Forgiveness window balancing across all shot types.
• Rhythm Sweet spot and Forgiveness window balancing across all shot types.
• Swing Path Sweet spot and Forgiveness window balancing across all shot types.
• Contact Sweet spot and Forgiveness window balancing across all shot types.
• Chip shots performed with higher lofted clubs will now check up a bit more/run less.
• Pitch shots performed with higher lofted clubs will now check up a bit more/run less.
• Punch shot trajectory height reduced.
• Choked Punch shot minimum partial distance lowered and shot type reworked to align with Punch shot updates and to provide more versatility.
• Thai Spinner shot minimum distance and spin rates adjusted.
• Lag Putt head speed increase to support putting across large greens.

Course Designer Enhancements

• Pot Bunker Brush Tools & Settings
  • Create Pot Bunkers using the Bunker Brush tool while it is set to Pot Bunker mode.
  • Set whether bunker brushes default to being standard, or pot bunkers – Course Settings Tab > Bunker Settings > Default Pot Bunker
  • Set whether the bunker brush tool is placing default bunkers (see above), or overriding to place standard, or pot bunkers specifically – Edit Holes Tab > Create Surfaces > Bunker > Pot Bunker
  • Adjust the Pot Bunker mode of existing bunker brushes by selecting them via the Cursor tab, and modifying the Pot Bunker setting.
• Improvements made to functionality and U/I gizmos related to Object Snapping.
• Enabled additional existing brush shapes across more tools.
• Added options to adjust automated effects by Bunkers on Greens and/or Fairways
  • Course Settings Tab > Bunker Settings > Bunkers Mask Fairways & Greens
• Re-introduced legacy "Water Plane" tool.
• Keyboard and Mouse interface fixes
  • Adjustments to camera controls on keyboard.
  • Addressed reported concerns related to some UI elements not responding to mouse clicks.

  • Spline width information now on-screen while using the spline tool.
  • Adjusted accuracy of spline wireframe UI to  the resulting texture.
  • U/I gizmo enhancements for spline tools when working with 3D splines such as water splines.
• Updated tutorial materials when selecting "View Tutorial" while in various parts of the Camera creation tools.
• Sliders that override theme values now support switching back to their default values.
• Addressed reported concerns related to importing legacy courses.
• Addressed reported concerns related to Water Body Spline and "floating water" on height-adjusted maps.
• Corrected retaining wall spline skirt geometry.
• Addressed reported concerns related to potential crash when entering Surface Weathering Brush Tool menu.
• Various other U/I fixes and tweaks

Environment Fixes

• TPC San Antonio: Addressed reported concerns related to disappearing bunkers and improper tee box textures.
• Water Rendering: Addressed reported concerns related to ripple textures fail to render at certain distances.

Game SYSTEMS Fixes

• UI/Text:
  • Clarified Account Linking promotional text. The text now states that the user is required to link a 2K account to play the game.
• Audio:
  • Atmos and DTS settings applied in game resulted in sound being muffled; this has been fixed.
• Stability:
  • Addressed reported concerns related to soft lock when disconnecting internet during hole transitions.

Modes Fixes

• Quests:
  • Addressed reported concerns of quests no longer staying pinned after being unpinned.
  • Addressed reported concerns of duplicate objectives within “Zurich Classic of New Orleans” quest.
  • Removed unachievable “Cobra - Venomous Set” quest for XSX.

MyCAREER Fixes

• Addressed reported concerns of screen transition U/I bug on tournament selection.
• Polished/refined various interview texts:
  • Removed repeated “joining the tour” lines.
  • Addressed reported concerns related to incorrect sponsor-related interview timing.
• Addressed reported concerns related to a potential crash upon completing BMW Championship with Tiger Woods as Rival.
• Addressed reported concerns related to missing background color in Profile Quit Menu.
• Corrected commentary after hole-in-one replay.
• Addressed an impossible objective in the Spyglass Hill Long Drive Contest.
• Addressed reported concerns related to attribute boost rewards not being awarded for Training events that had been previously completed.
• Updated sim opponent skill values to generate more realistic score distributions.
  • Changes should only take effect when the user starts a new season (either by starting a new MyCAREER or by finishing the season in progress and starting a new one).
  • It is also recommended that users return the opponent sim difficulty to default and retune settings from there, as the baseline skills for opponents has changed.

Online Fixes

• U/I Improvements:
  • Added live season UI/indication to Ranked Tours event page. Replaced "Week X" with the season label and timer to better indicate season countdown.
  • Added an Event Rewards table to each Ranked Tours event. This table shows the player their potential merit and VC earnings—by placement range—for their current Tier. Select an event from the Ranked Tours screen using the input labeled ‘View Event Leaderboard’ to view where you need to finish in that event based on your current Tier.
• Matchmaking:
  • Resolved texture corruption in Paynes Valley.
  • Addressed reported concerns related to MyPLAYER flickering when returning from Divot Derby.
• Ranking Issues:
  • Addressed reported concerns related to merits going beyond min and max values.
  • Corrected merits being awarded to those in top ranks.
  • Corrected Merit and season points leaderboards repeat placement.
