PGA TOUR 2K25: MУPLAYER
MyPLAYER is deeper than ever with all-new customization options and progression systems.
Read on to learn more about MyPLAYER in PGA TOUR 2K25.
MyPLAYER, Your Path to Customization
Whether looking to become the ultimate PGA TOUR Pro in MyCAREER or rise through the ranks in multiplayer, get started with the most customizable MyPLAYER experience yet.
To give you the ability to create your ideal digital golfer, base head models have been quadrupled, exponentially increasing customization options. In addition, a larger variety of skin tones has been added, the number and style of different hair options—including facial hair—has increased, and you can now customize your body type, including shape, muscle definition, and height.
PGA TOUR 2K25 has also added additional changes to MyPLAYER that are more than skin deep. As before, you will choose an archetype with a set of starting attributes for each MyPLAYER you create. However, in PGA TOUR 2K25, this archetype is permanent! That’s because the new attribute progression system—along with Tools and Fittings—gives you the opportunity to build on your MyPLAYER’s attributes and really lean into a specific playstyle.
Archetypes
Choosing the archetype that best suits your playstyle is the key to having a great foundation on which to build your perfect golfer.
In PGA TOUR 2K25, you can choose from the following archetypes:
- Powerhouse: The Powerhouse’s primary focus is hitting the long ball consistently, even when challenged with a poor lie. However, a Powerhouse must be wary of their ability to keep the ball on target both on and off the green.
- Technician: A Technician takes advantage of consistent contact with their swing path. Finding fairways and greens with regularity, the Technician golfer will hardly notice the lack of the long ball.
- Magician: A primary focus for the Magician is a focus on recovery shots paired with a more vertical default swing path and solid power. Getting out of tricky lies shouldn’t be a problem for the Magician.
- Greenskeeper: What the Greenskeeper lacks off the green is made up for with a putter in hand. They can be relatively consistent playing off the tee and fairway, but the deeper the grass the deeper the struggle.
- Sculptor: The Sculptor is an artist with any club in hand. No one can shape shots through the air like the Sculptor. A relatively balanced golfer, the Sculptor’s skill doesn’t translate to rolling the ball on the green.
Can’t decide on a particular archetype? You don’t have to! In PGA TOUR 2K25, you can have multiple MyPLAYERs all suited to a different style of play. Experiment with different archetypes and progression paths and never feel locked into your first pick!
Attributes
Attributes define your MyPLAYER’s ability to swing and putt. Each archetype has its own set of starting attributes that are reflective of the specific playstyle. To improve these attributes, play to earn VC. Then you can use VC to apply Attribute Points.
As you level up and assign Attribute points to your MyPLAYER, your Overall Rating (OVR) will increase. Your OVR is a measure of your total attribute ceiling. By default, each MyPLAYER has enough attribute points unlocked to progress to OVR 85. Earn XP through completing rounds and objectives to increase your MyPLAYER level. Each MyPLAYER level rewards more Attribute Points that can then be used to achieve the 99 OVR cap.
Rebirth
Once you reach an OVR of 90 with one MyPLAYER, you unlock ‘Rebirth’. This gives any new MyPLAYERs a pool of free Attribute Points that you can assign right away—giving you a well-earned jump start on your new MyPLAYER’s progress.
Skill Trees
Skills in PGA TOUR 2K25 have been completely overhauled with new branching trees for each discipline on the course! Each tree is populated with a ton of all new shot types and the ability to improve your proficiency for each type.
There are a limited number of Skill Points available. How you choose to spend your Skill Points will be key, much like with Attribute Points, to creating the ideal golfer for you. Though keep in mind that you can always Start another MyPLAYER or reset your skill tree if you want to try a different playstyle.
There are 5 main skill trees to choose from:
- Tee
- Approach
- Recovery
- Bunker
- Green

Equipment Progression
PGA TOUR 2K25 introduces Equipment Progression—the ability to earn experience on the clubs and balls that you choose to take into each round.
