How to Set Up a Private Match
While the fun of playing against gamers worldwide is undeniable, the thrill and camaraderie of going head-to-head with a few close friends can be exhilarating.
Whether you’re a group of golfers who regularly duke it out on the course, or just committed gamers ready to kick back with some virtual competition, our private match mode is just what you need. Our comprehensive options allow you to play in multiple formats including stroke play, stableford, match play, skins, four ball, alternate shot, and 2-vs-2 scramble.
With fully customizable settings, you can set everything yourself, from the course to the difficulty level and the conditions. Choose your preferred course conditions, including wind speed and direction, fairway and green firmness, and green speeds. To amplify the realism, each condition will change the gameplay to match the challenges of a real-life course.
The customization of each course goes further still, allowing you to control everything from the crowd to the tees you play from. What’s more, these options are also available in a Society, allowing you to raise the stakes while competing with golfers far and wide. How to Adjust Multiplayer Difficulty
One of the beauties of golf is how accessible it is to players of all levels. Whether you’re a novice player taking your first swing on the tee, or a tournament player looking to reduce an already formidable handicap, golf is a sport that allows you to progress at your own pace.
It’s for this reason, that we’ve applied this same accessibility to the world of golf gaming. PGA TOUR 2K25 multiplayer has been designed to simultaneously offer support for newcomers while providing enough challenge to entertain expert players.
Multiplayer Matchmaking Difficulty Setting
All casual matchmaking matches are played on a Pro Am difficulty level—giving players the freedom to choose between Swing Stick and 3-Click, but only having select gameplay aids turned on. For more on mastering new EvoSwing mechanics, you can get a head start by going here.
The Pro Am difficulty level allows us to bring together the best of both worlds, providing gameplay that remains a challenge to experienced players without alienating newcomers. This ensures as many people as possible can enjoy the competitive thrill of our online mode.
Difficulty in Private Multiplayer
When playing a private match, you have the option to fully customize the level of difficulty available. PGA TOUR 2K25 difficulty settings even allow you to select different levels for different players—including desired swing input (i.e. Swing Stick or 3-click). In addition to swing input, difficulty levels can also be set for distance control and pro vision—the in-game mechanic that takes aspects of the shot setup, like elevation, wind, lie penalty and more, into account for you so you only need to focus on your aim and your swing. This freedom gives players of all levels the ability to have a competitive match with other players of differing skill.
Societies in PGA TOUR 2K25
Our cross-play Societies offer endless multiplayer possibilities for players across PC, PlayStation, and Xbox. Create your own league with friends, schedule asynchronous events, compete globally, or join existing Societies—all while enjoying a fully customizable experience.
